back to newsChallenging our ideas of tradition and modernity, Belgian artist Stan Van Steendam creates almost monochromatic and texture rich artworks.
The artist’s work meditates over the sense of intimacy between the artist and his oeuvre, through the materials, and the emotions and sensations captured within his meditative creations — sculptural objects, and large-scale, monochromatic explorations in painting.
Working with his bare hands, and juxtaposing different materials and media, the artist explores the idea of deconstructing the materiality of painting and the limits between the sculpture and painting.
For the first time in Spain, we will hold an exhibition at our countryside gallery, highlighting the latest creations by the artist in a solo show with small and big format artworks.
