Klas Ernflo is an interdisciplinary artist, working with multiple materials and embracing an œuvre which includes painting and drawings as much as sculptures and textiles. His work embraces a visual language rooted in organic shapes and gentle chromatic harmonies. With nature as both a point of departure and a continuous presence, Ernflo’s compositions reflect an inward gaze. To contemplate his works is like reading what his mind processes when observing his surroundings: art, daily life, memories, desires, fiction, everything is interwoven in a graphic story. Both the selection of colors and the execution of his strokes reflect a calm and neat creative process and the need to pass along a message in a quiet and orderly manner. Each piece is the result of a thoughtful process where materials are not merely chosen but listened to, allowing them to reveal quiet metaphors and emotional resonance.
After years of experimentation with various media, Klas Ernflo’s practice has developed into a cohesive yet versatile body of work. He has held solo shows in galleries such as Alzueta Gallery (Barcelona), Marta (Los Angeles), or Nina Sagt Gallery (Düsseldorf), and participated in important group exhibitions and design fairs, including Milan Design Week and Madrid Design Festival. His pieces have been featured in publications like Apartamento, Domus, and Le Monde d’Hermès, reflecting the broad appeal and quiet sophistication of his visual language. Living and working in Barcelona, Ernflo continues to develop a practice that merges Nordic restraint with Mediterranean warmth, offering a contemplative perspective on the natural, the emotional, and the everyday.
