About
Lives and works in Madrid, Spain
Emeca’s work is characterized by large-scale canvases in which fields of opposing colors dialogue and interact. His continuous observation of everyday life gives him a heightened sensitivity to color and light, resulting in paintings with strong chromatic intensity. His artistic process is meticulous and rigorous, as he first creates digital sketches to visualize the composition before reproducing it on canvas. Echoing the Abstract Expressionist movement, Emeca channels expressive freedom and an ability to convey emotion through the brushstroke. The color contrasts encapsulate feelings that are transmitted to the viewer through attentive observation.
Emeca’s passion for painting was cultivated from an early age under the guidance of his father, who introduced him to the world of art. From childhood, Emeca felt a deep connection to painting and architecture. Over time, this early fascination evolved into a personal artistic language, one that conveys inner emotion while seeking harmony and balance between color, form, and space.
