Alba Suau at CAN Ibiza 2025

As part of the OFF program of CAN Art Ibiza 2025, artist Alba Suau will present a collaborative exhibition with fellow artist Adrià Mayordomo at the Faro de Ses Coves Blanques, a striking coastal location that echoes the reflective nature of Suau’s work. This initiative—driven by CAN Ibiza and supported by Paya Hotels—continues its mission to support Balearic artists by activating unique venues across Ibiza and Formentera with site-specific contemporary art.

Born in Pollença, Mallorca in 1997 and currently based in Brussels, Alba Suau has developed a practice rooted in the poetics of landscape and memory. Her paintings are the result of contemplative, intuitive walks—rituals of movement that allow her to absorb and transform the physical and emotional textures of place. Through her work, Suau captures not the literal image of a landscape, but the lingering imprint it leaves behind: its atmospheres, absences, and silent resonances.

Suau’s presentation in Ibiza forms part of a broader program—OFF CAN—designed to foster cultural connectivity between the islands and to spotlight the vibrancy of Balearic contemporary art. Now in its third edition, this initiative highlights the importance of supporting emerging voices through sustained institutional and curatorial support.
