THE NEW YORK TIMES MAGAZINE – HUGO ALONSO
back to news27 diciembre, 2018
In October of 2017 the artist Hugo Alonso was the artist in charge of making the cover of the magazine «The New York Times Magazine«.
In words of Gail Bichler, design director of the magazine “This week’s cover story looks at what happens when someone is found ‘not guilty by reason of insanity.’ The mentally ill who are acquitted of a crime may spend more time involuntarily confined than those convicted. Hugo Alonso’s image of the closed door to a psychiatric ward evokes the weight of realizing you may walk through the hospital doors and never come out.”
